Memorial Day Weekend 2009

For Memorial Day this year we took the kids to the Westin La Paloma in Tucson with Dave's family. We had a really good time

Kevin loves to get in my pictures. He cracks me up. He is just like a little kid.

Macee's birthday was while we were at the hotel. They had a little birthday party for her out by the pool.

We were all thinking... What did Kevin do? Is he in trouble! The cop was looking for a David Tueller. Kevin started asking questions, and found out that the cop was actually looking for him. There was a fire at his hotel room. I guess the people above him had been smoking on their balcony and threw down a cigarette. The fire was on the balcony above his hotel room. They took all their belongings except for what they were wearing. There was no fire damage. I guess everything had smoke damage.
All our rooms were right together. Doug's room smelt a little smokey. Ours was fine, there was a room between ours and Kevin's. They moved Kevin's family to another building. When we were buying food at the pool we realized that they had Dave's and Kevin's names switched. That is why they were looking for us at the pool instead of Kevin. This picture of the balcony is the next day after they had been working on it.

Kylie's and Katie's Orchestra Concerts

Katie and Kylie did such a good job at their Orchestra concerts. I was actually able to see them, and video. I am so glad they both are learning to play the violin and piano. I am sad Kylie decided not to do Orchestra next year. I hope that she will like doing choir though. She has a beautiful voice, and loves to sing. Good luck in choir Ky!

Birthday Dinner

One nice thing about Ashley and Kylie's birthdays being a day apart is that sometimes we can combine their birthday dinners. This year we took them to Serrano's. They used to give you a Polaroid picture of the birthday person. Not this time. Our waiter said they could put on the sombrero though. Good thing I had my camera. We love you girls. Mother's Day 2009

I have the best husband and kids. Dave took all the kids to Chandler mall the saturday before Mother's Day to go shopping. Chase bought me some flip flops. Ash and Ky bought me some perfume and lotion from Bath and Body Works. Dave and Katie bought me some clothes. What a fun Mother's Day I had. They made me both breakfast and dinner and cleaned up too. I was spoiled. Thanks family. I LOVE YOU!!

Easter 2009

This year we went to Dave's sisters house again for Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt. She also boiled enough eggs for everyone to play a game. You had to roll your egg into someone else egg and try to crack your opponents egg. Dave ended up being the winner. Kevin gave Ana a raw egg to play with. When she found out, she was so mad and she chucked it at him. We were all like surprised . It was pretty funny.

Piano Recital

Our last piano recital with this teacher. My kids have learned so much from Luana. We will miss her very much. I hope my girls can continue learning like they have with Luana.

Chases Birthday

Chase had school and then had to work on his birthday. Dave the girls and I went to his work and took balloon's and cupcakes. We then blew up a bunch of balloons and stuck them in his car. We hope you ended up having a good birthday Chase!

Grandma and Grandpa come to visit

My parents were able to come and visit us again. Dave and I and the 2 girls took them and got Pei Weis. We had a really good time having them come and stay with us.

We get together with some of our friends from the ward for family night every once in awhile. When it was our turn we had everyone over and had a easter lesson.

Spring Break 2009

My parents came and visited us quit a bit at my sisters house. It was wierd not staying with them. I always stay at thier house when we go and visit. This time we were able to spend more time with Daves dad and his wife. She always goes to so much work cooking for us. Thanks to everyone that made our Spring Break so much fun.

This ski trip was alot different than our last one. The weather was actually warm. Chase snowboarded all day with no coat on. It was alot of fun taking the kids again. Kylie tried snowboardng this time and really enjoyed it. Ash and Katie stuck with skiing. My girls are growing up. We had a boy following us and asking if he could join our group. I think he had a crush on Kylie. I told him he could ski with us, but I warnned him that this was only the kids second time. He told me it was fine. He said it was better than skiing by himself. His name was Stetson. We had him take our family picture.

One of the best parts of going to Utah is getting to spend time with all the cousins. My kids are so lucky to be so close to all thier cousins on both mine and Daves sides of the family.

My sisters theater room was awesome. We watched a couple of movies in it. The recliners were so comfortable. I feel asleep in one of the movies. She had like 18 recliners and 3 big love sacks at the bottom. I don't think they will ever need to go to a public theater again. Every time a movie would get over, Dave would say we could have sold 20 more tickets. It was kinda funny but true.

Who would have ever thought my kids would be playing basketball inside and I wouldn't have to yell at them to go outside and play. Only at my sisters house.

My sister had just moved into her new house and invited us to stay with her. We felt like we were staying in our own private resort. They heated the pool, so the kids were able to go swimming in March in Utah.

Katie was lucky this year. She got to spend her birthday with all her Utah cousins. Rory and Julia got married on her birthday. It was a busy day. My niece Paige bought Katie a birthday cake. I think she felt bad for her since we hadn't made or bought her one yet that day. Thanks Paige you are soooo sweet. You helped make Katies B-Day a success.

Rory and Julia got married while we were in Utah. What a nice couple they make. They seem like they are going to be very happy together.

Girls Choice

While Dave and I were in Vegas, Chase got asked to a girls Choice dance. She decorated his room like a winter wonderland. Chase answered her back before I got home. He had a pizza delivered to her house that had YES written in pepperoni.

Las Vegas

For my birthday and Valentines Day, Dave took me on a weekend trip to Las Vegas. We had such a great time. We went to see Danny Gans. He was a woderful performer. Like a month after we saw him, he died in his sleep. I was so sad to hear that, because I would have loved to have gone and seen him again. He was sooooo talented.

When we got home the house was clean, the kids were still alive and the girls had made us a welcome home cake. I am so lucky to have the best kids ever.

Snow Camp Out

Dave and Chase went on a snow camp out with the the boys in our ward. I guess they had a great time. It sounds like it would be freezing cold camping in the snow. I am glad that Dave can go on campouts with Chase. I like that they get to have father and son bonding time.

My sister and her husband took all the adults out to a Japanese restaurant for a Christmas present. The chef flipped shrimp at us, and we had to try and catch them in our mouths. Dave caught his, and mine landed in my hair. That was a great gift Suz. Thanks we really enjoyed it!

We stayed at Dave's sister Andreas house when we went to Cache Valley. We took the kids skiing at Beaver Mountain with Bud and his boys. It was the kids first time skiing and snowboarding. We just stayed on Little Beaver. I love snow skiing, it was fun taking the kids. I am sure if you asked Ashley, she wouldn't use fun and skiing in the same sentence. Let me just say it is not her favorite thing to do. I think the word she would use is torture.

Christmas in Utah

It has been along time since I have posted anything on my blog. Alot has been going on these past 5 months. This year we spent Christmas in Utah. We have not done that since Chase was a baby. We took the kids snow skiing and snowmobiling for the first time. What a fun trip we had as a family! The night we got there my sister was having a Christmas party. My brother Rob dressed up as Santa. He made an awesome Santa. I think Katie guessed it was Rob when he gave his wife Julie a big kiss on the lips. This year I actually got Chase to sit on Santa's lap. He was the first one to jump up and sit on it.

This year we took our own family Christmas pictures. That was our first mistake. We set up our tri pod and took some ok pictures. We found one we liked of the whole family and hurried to the store to make up Christmas cards. When we tried to make the card up it wouldn't let us do it. I guess when Dave changed the batteries in the camera it messed up the resolution on the camera. None of the picures we took with that camera worked. Luckily, I remembered that I took a picture of just the kids with my other camera. This year we are just sending out a picture of our kids. These are some of the pictures that we couldn't print out. The bottom picture is the one that I took with my other camera.

This year the Connors and my parents came to visit. I was a little worried about how it was going to work with family from both sides here, but it turnned out just fine. Doug and Lisa hosted Thanksgiving dinner. It was a really fun day. We played games, and the kids played outside. We took the kids to see the movie Bolt Thanksgiving night.

On Halloween night this was the first year I havn't had to walk around with my kids. Ashley took Katie around and Kylie went with a bunch of her friends. I got to go out to dinner with some of my friends. Dave stayed home and handed out candy.

All dressed up for the Ward Halloween party. Chase worked that night and Ashley had a birthday party. It was wierd only taking two of our kids with us. The Halloween party was alot of fun as usual. We won the prize for the hottest chili.

To Kill a Mocking Bird Play

In Ashley's English class every grading period they have to do a bunch of projects. Ashley and her friends chose to make a movie out of the book that they had read as one of thier projects. They are all becoming quite the actors. This movie took them 3 nights in my family room. They seemed to have alot of fun doing it. The teacher shows the movie to the class at the end of the grading period.

The stump

One Saturday Dave decided to take out a stump in our back yard. We had cut down a tree in our back yard like a year ago. We had just left the stump in the ground. It was a lot more work than Dave thought it was going to be. He called his brother Kevin for some help. They started off by using this small jack hammer. An hour or two later I go out and they had gone and rented this huge machine. Thanks Kevin for helping my husband out.

Homecoming 2008

Chase went to his first school dance this year. He took Jordanna. At the dance they waited until the last part to go get pictures taken. They waited to long and the photograhers were not taking pictures anymore. Luckily they came back to our house after and I took a bunch of pictures. I told him that was my favorite part of going to a school dance was getting the pictures. Boys don't understand, he didn't think it was a big deal. Maybe it's a girl thing wanting the pictures (I don't know).

Family Night at the Park

Dave and I were in charge of his monthly Family Home Evening clear back in September. I worked that day, and Ashley had a tennis match that afternoon. We decided to make it easy on ourselves and buy pizza and do it at the park. We had a good time playing volleyball, and just hanging out at the park.

9th Grade Tennis Team

Some of her best friends played on the team with her. She had a great season. We don't know what to do with our monday nights now that tennis and basketball are over.

Happy Birthday to the best husband ever. Dave had his birthday a couple of days ago. He worked all day and then came home and went to a combined mutual activity. I picked him up early from the church. Kevin and Ana's family came over to bring him a gift. They gave him the dvd game, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. We did cake and ice cream with them because are teenagers were still at the church. When our kids got home we finished opening up presents and they had cake and ice cream. Labor Day

On Labor Day we were invited to Doug and Lisa's house for a swim party. We had pizza for lunch. The kids had fun playing around in the pool. Kevin kept tipping over everyones floating tubes. The men and the kids had a sweatshirt relay. I think the girls totally wasted the guys! Good job girls!!

Snow Bowl Ski Resort

For Labor Day weekend we drove up to Flagstaff. We went with the Ferguson's to Snow Bowl Ski Resort to ride the ski lift. When we got to the Ski Resot they had just closed the lift because of the weather. Some of us decided to climb the mountain. I think Chase, Katie and Sheree went the furthest. It was nice to get out of the heat. That night we went back to the Fergusons condo and played the name game and spoons. It was a fun day. I love spending time with my family.

First Day of School

School started on Aug. 11. I can't believe my kids are getting so old. I almost didn't get a picture of Chase this year. Can you see how happy he is to get his picture taken. My girls still love their picture taken. Maybe it's a girl thing.

Girls Camp

This year I got to go to girls camp with my girls. I am not in the Young Women's, but since I had 2 girls going to camp they thought I might want to go. I had so much fun getting to know all the young women in our ward. The leaders that went to camp were so much fun. We were laughing the whole time. The theme of camp this year was Ancored in Christ. All the wards had to name their ward a boat name. Our wards boat name was USS Happiness. Sis. Waters did an awesome job putting everything together. She is so creative. I am so glad I was able to go to camp with my girls. I am sure I embarrassed them taking pictures all the time, but now they are glad they have all the pictures. One of Ashley's 10 hour projects was making a slide show to watch at the party after camp. She did a really good job.

Set Sail Geneva (1st stop Hawaii)

Doug and Lisa and Kevin and Ana were in charge of this years reunion. For the past few years they have been telling us that they want to go on a cruise for their reunion. They didn't want to just have it at Geneva, like everyone else. We would just smile and think. we'll be having it at Geneva. With 1,000 dollars to spend, it would be mighty hard to take 70 people on a cruise. This reunion was called "Cruise Geneva". I didn't think they could pull it off taking us all on a cruise, but I was wrong. When we got there they had us sign in and we received our t-shirts and agenda. The kids went to make them selves a reunion pillow case. We then took family pictures. Our first stop was Hawaii. We ate hawaiin haystacks for dinner. We had a hula hoop contest. I wish I would have entered I was the hula hoop champ when I was in grade school. I didn't know if I could still do it. I tried after everyone was done and I actually still was pretty good. Chase must of got his moves from his mom.(JK) After the hula hoop contest they had a limbo contest. We then played a game, Two lies and One truth. Dave and his siblings did this game it was really funny to watch. Dave had to make people believe that he wanted to have more kids. I think the funniest truth is that chocolate licorice gives Norman gas. I thought that it was Andrea or Kevin. I would have never guessed Norman. I learned at this reunion that DAve's brothers and sisters are really good liars.

Texas

When we woke up we were in Texas. We had Texas style french toast for breakfast.

We all piled into a school bus and traveled to Minnetonka Caves. The bus ride there was pretty funny. The girls were singing girls camp songs all the way there. Who would of ever thought we would all fit into a school bus. The caves were pretty amazing. I almost forgot to tell this funny story. When we were going into the caves. My girls and my niece asked if I wanted to use some of Kendras lip gloss. I said no, and they ended up convincing me to use it. They said it was the best lip gloss ever. I put it on and I thought. It's alright, and they all start laughing. They asked me if my lips were numb. I thought oh crap, so I started licking my lips to get it off. My lips and my tongue became numb. My niece works at a dental office and she gets the dentists left over numbing stuff and plays jokes on people. Luckily my mouth didn't stay numb for to long. That was pretty funny Kendra. Just wait one day I'll get you back! My kids are going to have some good memories of this reunion.

We stopped at a park on our way home and ate our sack lunches. When we got back on the bus I think we were all worn out. Alot of us took a little nap on the way home. It was a lot quieter than on the way there.

When we got back from the caves. The little kids found things in the sawdust. The men played horse shoes. Some of the kids and adults tried a little ropping.

Mexico

We arrived in Mexico in the afternoon. We had beef burros for dinner. The kids did a pinata. We had the auction. The auction is one of my girls favorite things at the reunion. Doug made a video to watch of the past reunions. We roasted marshmallows and starbursts around the camp fire. It was a fun night in Mexico. Adios Amigos

Last Day at the Reunion

On this day we got up early and cleaned up. We knew we had a very long drive ahead of us. We stopped in Logan to do some wash, and to clean up the motorhome. Dave decided he wanted to empty the sewer. I have helped Dave empty the sewer a million times. I usually just sit in the bathroom and let all the water drain down the toilet. This time was different. Dave knocks at the motorhome door, I open it and he hands me the sewer hose. I am like, what do you want me to do with that? He told me that this is how my brother in law drains the sewer out by sticking the hose in the toilet. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I take the hose and I stuck it way down into the toilet. He asked if I was ready, and I thought I was. The hose was so powerful it flew out of the toilet. I was still holding on. I was drenched with who knows what. My sisters motorhome bathroom was all wet. The funny part is I didn't know how to tell my sister Suzie abot it. When we got to my moms house to drop off the motorhome, my brother in law asked so, did anything happen this time? I told them what had happened and my sister started laughing. Her husband had done the same thing to her a couple of years ago. She told me she has never helped him empty the sewer ever since. We left my moms late that night and we drove to Flagstaff. We got there at about 5:00 in the morning. We slept a little bit and then woke up and went the rest of the way home.

Lagoon

Every other year before the Tueller reunion, we go to Lagoon with whoever in Dave's family that wants to go. It has been a tradition for us for the last 4 reunions. The kids always have so much fun there. My favorite part about Lagoon is the evening musicals. I remember my mom saying that was her favorite part, and I am already saying it. This year they just had a bunch of different songs from all the different Broadway shows. It was pretty good.

While we were at my moms house Dave went with my nephew Troy and his friends golfing. I took the girls bowling with my mom and my sister and my nieces. My cute niece Paige came to, with her two little kids. We couldn't decide if we wanted to do 1 or 3 games. They had a discount if you played 3 games. We chose to only play one. We were gald we did, because it took us forever just playing that one game.

The Gravel Pit

The girls had so much fun getting to spend a week in July with all their girl cousins. They got to go and hang out at their uncles gravel pit. They got to ride the go cart and 4 wheelers and they roasted hot dogs and made smores. We need to have this be a tradition every summer. I rememeber going to the gravel pit and riding when I was young. I forgot how much fun it was until I saw the pictures of my girls. Thanks to everyone that let the girls stay at their house. They had such a fun week without their parents. They went shopping, out to lunch, to movies and they each made a scrap book. I owe all of you guys big time.

Kylie and Ally were inseperable for two weeks. They are such good friends.

Last Day at Powell

On the last day we cleaned up the house boats and when we were heading back to Antelope Island, we picked up some extra people. My husband had noticed this boat driving in reverse, and then the people in it were starting to bail water out of it. We picked up the family and let them ride in the house boat with us. My brother in law Shannon towed their boat all the way back to Antelope. Rad and Mike took the other house boat back to Wahweap Marina and then met us at Antelope Marina. My girls all ended up going to Utah with my sisters. I am sure they are having a great time. Staci and Fred thank you both soooo much for the great weekend. You guys are the best.

On the third day we took the long journey to Rainbow Bridge. We all piled into the boats and the teenage boys drove the wave runners there. This year we didn't have to hike quite as far to see it. The water at Powell is alot higher than last year. On the way back from Rainbow Bridge we stopped at Dangling Rope to get an ice cream. While we were there I saw Kristin Kempton that used to be in the Adobe Villa ward with us. She said she was there with some really good friends. When I saw who her really good friend was, it was funny because it was Lexi Brown a girl that was in my ward in Utah growing up. It is a small world.

2nd Day at Lake Powell

On the 2nd day my sisters and their husbands and Dave and I and Troy all went on the wave runners and went for a tour of the lake. It was alot of fun. We kept on spraying each other with the wave runners and getting each other wet. The teenagers had a pretend tea party. The younger kids went exploring with Rory and found a dead fish in the middle of the lake. The kids all had fun going on the water weeny and tubes. It is pretty cool when you can pull so many people behind the boat at once. I think Katie's favorite thing to do was to keep going down the slide. That night the older kids went and hung out at the old house boat and talked. The adults sat on top of the new house boat and watched the fire works. It was a great 4th of July!

1st Day at Lake Powell

We left for Powell on Wednesday night and drove half way and stayed at the Fergusons condo. Woke up early Thursday and arrived at Powell at around 9:00 a.m. The kids were so excited to see thier cousins. Staci's new house boat is so nice. It is kinda sad when your sisters house boat is alot nicer than your own house. The first day we went on the wave runners, went boating, we cleaned out Staci's old house boat. They just got new carpet and lanolium in it, so it was pretty dusty from having all the windows open on it. Suzie, my brother Dave and I got to sleep on thier old house boat, and everyone else stayed on the new one. Staci had bought enough sleeping bags and pillows to keeep on her boat for all the grandkids. The older grandkids all got to sleep on the top of the new boat. It was awesome having both boats, all the adults got to have thier own bedrooms. That night we all went up on top of the new house boat and watched the Brian Regan video.

Good Friends

Last week Michelle and her girls came into town. We went out to lunch and shopping with them. We had such a good time spending the day with them. We have really missed living by them. Her girls have really grown up since they moved 4 years ago.

Family Swim Party

Lanell invited us all over for a swim party last night. The kids always have so much fun swimming at aunt Lanell's house. They got pizza and bread sticks from Little Ceasars. I think they thought they were feeding an army. They ended up sending a pizza home with all of us. Thanks for the pizza, the kids love eating left over pizza the next day. Ashley left for EFY in Flagstaff yesterday. She went with 3 of her friends. I hope it will be an awesome experience for her.

Last week I flew up to Utah by myself for my nephew Skyler's wedding. It was fun to see all my family. My kids were disappointed that they were not able to go with me. Skyler wanted to get married on 6-7-8. He thought it would be easy for him to remember his anniversary. I think that was a good idea, because I think I will always remember his anniversay too. Thanks to every one that made my trip alot of fun.

Ashley has been trying to talk us into going and playing tennis for a long time. She can't decide if she wants to try out for the tennis team or the volleyball team this year. The kids had a good time. I am so glad I can still talk Chase into spending time with the family every once in a while.

On Abby's birthday we went to Kevin and Ana's house to take Abby a gift. Ana was at girls camp. Ana's parents were in town to watch their kids. Kevin had all the kids and the grandma and grandpa have a balloon popping contest. This game scarred Braden and Calie. They ended up hiding behind the recliner scarred to death. It was a fun game Kevin, maybe your kids will like it in a couple more years.

Family Home Evening at our house

We were in charge of Family Home Evening in May. We had planned to go to the park to have a barbecue because the weather this Spring has been so beautiful. Monday the temperature jumped up to 111 degrees. Dave calls me at 5:30 and says, he thinks it is to hot to go to the park. I had been shopping all day and came home, cut up watermelon and made some brownies. Needless to say my kitchen was trashed and everyone was supposed to come at 6:00 o'clock. Dave's family ended up being a little bit late, so it gave me and my kids plenty of time to clean up. We set up the slip and slide and the kids blew up water balloons. The kids and Kevin played water games and had a water fight. When I was taking pictures I found out you never stand in front of a bunch of little kids that have a water blaster full of water. I told them that I was not in the water fight but some how I ended up with a face full of water. We cooked hamburgers and hot dogs. Dave gave the lesson. The kids were all participating so good. It is always so much fun to get together with Dave's family once a month and have family night. The kids love spending time with their cousins.

6th Grade Science Project

Kylie got 3rd place at the Science Fair this year. She did the 12 day cool whip experiment. She put a bowl of cool whip and a bowl of whipping cream out on the cupboard for 12 day. The cool whip just shrunk and turned into a plastic like substance and never started to stink, she drew a big smily face on it. The whipping cream turned yellow, got soooo stinky and moldy, we had to put a lid on it because the smell got so bad. Good job Kylie on gettting 3rd place!

12'th Birthday Party

What a fun 12th Birthday party. The girls started off by having a big water fight. I bought a bunch of water blaster guns and water balloons from the dollar store. The water blaster guns worked so good. Then they ate pizza and bread sticks and cake and ice cream. The girls had a licorice eating contest. They played a gum game, where you have to roll 2 dice and try and get doubles. If you roll doubles you have to put the hat and tie on and the oven mittens on as fast as you can and then you have to try and open a piece of bubblicious gum with a knife and fork and then you have to chew the gum and try and blow a bubble before somebody else rolls doubles. This was a pretty funny game. They also played the candy bar game and told scarry stories out on the tramp. Happy 12th Birthday Ky. We love you!

Kylie gets Beehived

Kylie's Beehive class came and beehived her the Wednesday before her birthday. I can't believe she is in mutual now. My kids are all growing up to fast. She has awesome beehive teachers. She is going to have so much fun in thier class.

Spring Sing 2008

Kylie and Katie did such a good job at their Spring Sing. This year Kylie got to wear pajama's. It was weird letting her wear pajamas, they usually are supposed to wear Sunday best. We went to Dairy Queen after the concert with some of the girls friends. It was fun for Ashley to spend time with some of her elementary friends, because she doesn't get to see them very much anymore.

14th Birthday Party

For Ashley's party this year we were going to pile into the motor home and take the girls to the lake and have a barbecue and let them hang out. Dave drove up to Canyon lake on Thursday to make reservations at a camping area that we usually camp at, and they were all booked up. They told him you have to make reservations 2 weeks in advance. I guess we usually go there in the winter when it isn't so busy. We couldn't decide what we were going to do with the girls for six hours. We thought we could drive up to the lake and chance it that their maybe was a cancellation or something. At 1 o'clock on the day of Ashley's party Lanell and Tacy came over to our house to bring something. I asked Lanell if we can't find a place to hang out at the lake, if maybe we could go to there house and go swimming. She said that would be fine. To make a long story short we ended up just piling into the motor home and taking them all to Lanell's house. I think they had more fun there than they would of had at the lake. Thanks Wade and Lanell! We stayed at their house and let the girls swim and play ping pong. We went to our house and had a barbecue, ate cake and ice cream, opened presents and played some games. I think the girls all had a good time. Ashley has the best friends ever, they are all just so nice. Ashley we hope you had a wonderful birthday. We love you!

Close Up Trip

Ashley was able to go to Washington DC, Pennsylvania and New York City. She had the best time. She got to go see all the historic sights. She also got to go to a Spy Museum in Washington DC and the Broadway show Mary Poppins in New York City. It was a great experience for her. Her best friend Caitlyn went with her. I hope that my other girls can go when they are her age.

16th Birthday Party

Chase and Zoe had a combined 16th Birthday Party this year. They hang out with the same group of kids and thier birthdays are a day apart, so we thought it would be fun to combine them. Chase planned his eagle project and birthday party on the same day. I was so worn out the next day I could barely keep my eyes open at church. I told him he better not ever plan 2 big things on one day again. It was a fun party. We made Chase a video of him from the time he was a baby until now. He was the cutest little boy and he is growing into a handsome young man.

Chase's friend Jackie was in the High School Musical Susical this year. I took all the kids to see it. They invited Shelby and Tanner to go with us. The next week we went to see the play Back to the 80's. Zoe, Teagan and Bro. Roger's were all in that one. I hope my girls will want to be in the musicals in High School.

Happy Birthday to the best son ever. You are a great kid. Kevin and Ana let thier kids pick out Chase's Birthday cards. They gave him 2 cards this year. One of the cards was a 1 and the other one was a six. When Chase woke up on his Birthday, I told him he needed to go look out side. He thought we got him a car. I just wanted him to go look at our drive way. His friends had written all over it with chalk. Needless to say he was wishing it was a car instead of chalk. We did get him a remote control truck. He didn't think that was very funny either. For Chase's Birthday he chose to go to Coco's for dinner. Dave was like that is an old folks restaraunt. Chase said no it's not. When we got there we walked in and all you could see was gray hair everywhere. We all started laughing. Chase turned to Dave and said ok lets go. We ended up staying there and eating. When we were done eating and Dave was paying, the kids were standing there and this old lady that was hunched over turned to Kylie and said, my friend and I decided you have pretty feet. We laughed about that the whole way home. We were wodering how long it took them to decide that Kylie had pretty feet.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Our easter eggs were pretty pathetic this year. I wasn't even going to attempt to do them with the kids this year. We were gone the week before easter and didn't get home until late Saturday night. Katie begged the whole next week to do them. She said we are the most boring family ever. I just kept putting it off hoping she would forget about it. Finally a week and a day after easter. We decided to do them for family night. Only we had already put our easter stuff back up in the attic. We ended up using permanent markers to color on them. They actually turned out pretty dang good, if I should say so myself.

This year for Spring Break we went to California. We met my sister Staci and her family there. Chris plays lacross with University of Utah. He had a couple of games in Californa that week. It worked out perfect. The second day we got there, we went to the beach and then met Staci and Fred at the game. After that we went to Cold Stone and got ice cream and then we went to see a movie. The next 2 days we went to Universal Studios. We found out one day of Universal studios is plenty. Chase had so much fun hanging out with Ryan. They are such good cousins. To bad we don't live by each other so they could hang out more often.

While we were at the beach a surf teacher left his 4 year old son with us for like an hour and a half while he went and taught 2 ladies how to surf. It was so wierd. I asked Dave, is't he afraid that we are going to kidnap his son? Dave said he saw us with 4 of our own kids and probably thought we didn't need any more kids. He didn't really even ask us to watch him, he kind of started talking to us a little bit and then said is he ok? We were like what? and then he just took off to the water and never really even looked back to see if his son was alright. That must be how he gets a babysitter everyday, he looks for a nice family and then just leaves the kid with them. that would save him alot of money. How sad for the little boy. My kids were ready to leave after a few minutes of having him , but we didn't know what to do with this kid. Dave and Chase ended up staying with him and I took the girls shopping in the stores on the beach. When I told the little boy that we were leaving, he was like don't leave me. I told him Dave and Chase would stay with him until his dad was done. The water at the beach was a little chilly. We took boogie boards for the kids to play on but they hardly stayed in the water at all. As you can see I was freezing out of the water with my sweatshirt on. I like going to California in the summer better, when the weather is a little bit warmer.

While in Utah Jordan had his mission farewell. It worked out perfect being able to go to a mission farwell and a wedding all in one trip. For only being in Utah for 3 days we sure did alot of stuff. It was so fun to see all of Mine and Dave's families. The kids all had a snowball fight at Bud and Ann's house. Did I say kids? Well even some of the adults joined in on the fun. Ann and Bud thanks for the lunch and also thanks for all the cereal. Jordan you are going to be an awesome missionary.
